I am a very active teacher that loves to get children moving in order to help them think at their best level. I am patient, passionate about teaching, and easy to work with. My goal is to help children take a positive attitude toward learning through creating positive learning experiences. I also strive to help students develop pride in their own learning and success. A Little Bit About Me...

After a rewarding and successful career as a fourth and fifth grade teacher, certified in SC and GA, I have recently retired, yet still have a passion for teaching boys and girls. My experience has been in top rated schools with high academic standards. I have taught all subjects, mainly in fourth or fifth grade curriculums. I am familiar with State and National Standards for these grades, and plan to keep abreast of new and/or changing requirements. More About This Tutor...

I've always known that I wanted to work with children and adolescents. Prior to college, I was chosen to enroll in a course that helps those desiring to work in education or any filed working with young people. Also, I worked as a Substitute teacher and Paraprofessional Teacher for a special needs classroom over the course of a school year; which include the areas of reading, mathematics, science, and language arts. I received my Bachelor's of Science degree in Child and Adolescent Psychology with a minor in Sociology in May of 2009, and I am currently working on my Master's of Counseling. Lastly, I am employed (currently) as a Resident Assistant, where I get to oversee and mentor approximately 70 girl residents.
