With my numerous experiences in education, I think I could be a great asset in helping students become more knowledgeable. I have worked as a Tutor, Assistant Teacher, and did a short placement as an Interim Teacher. I can easily adjust to changing environments that will best suit the student’s potential. I am a recent graduate with a Master of Science in Environmental Studies with a Conservation Biology concentration. As a high school student, I was very active in extracurricular activities. I participated in the rotary club, volunteering at local soup kitchens. I was also a member of the Newspaper, Quiz Bowl, Robotics Team, soccer and baseball throughout my high school career. Through volunteering at the Boys and Girls club, I was turned out to tutoring students in Algebra and Trigonometry. I spent my Junior and Senior year tutoring students in these areas of mathematics.
I think that in today's public education system, with ever-growing class sizes some students get thrown to the wayside. A Little Bit About Me...

I like working with children of all ages. I believe that children of all ages and cultural backgrounds can learn if given a proper chance. I even managed to teach children in South Korea, when I didn't speak Korean at all and my students had limited English skills. I taught them through games and use of our workbooks and student books. I believe in making learning a fun experience with lots of games and an easy going manner. If the kid is bored or unhappy, it is going to make it much harder for the child to learn. I try to also reach my students at the level where they are at. If a student is at a lower level of understanding, I will start with them there and slowly challenge and build them to a higher level.
