Even as a kid, I loved to teach and to learn. And one of the most important things that I've learned is that teaching isn't about asking someone to remember facts; instead, it is about giving them tools to help them think so that those facts mean something. My specialties are journalism, social studies, English, computers, and humanities at both the middle school and the high school level and my work is seasoned with insights from traveling the world as a teacher. I graduated with a BS in Psychology and a BA in Criminology. After graduating with a 4.0 from the University of Oklahoma, I began my graduate work in mathematics. As a G.A., I had the experience of teaching and tutoring at the college level. During the past two years, I have taught 10 sections of miscellaneous classes, covering 5 different courses. Over the course of the past two years, I've easily had over a hundred hours of tutoring time. In addition to my two math degrees and minor in religious studies, I also have a good background in music theory, piano, and organ. Due to my changing Majors as a junior, I received a Bachelors Degree with a double major, Biology and Education. My Minor was in English. I was pleasantly surprised when my Certificate in Oklahoma qualified me to teach seventeen fields. I have had the privilege of teaching nearly every discipline at the grade levels of seventh thru twelfth. In addition the District selected me to train to work with at risk students. One of my many assignments was in school suspension that required tutoring those students in the completion of their studies.
