I enjoy working with children and adults and helping them discover the resources they have within them. My job as a teacher is to put myself out of work by providing my students with all the tools they need to become proficient, motivated self-learners. I believe we learn best by doing. I try to help my students reach for the information they need to solve a problem by pointing them to what they already know to begin tackling the problem. I then ask questions to guide them through each step until they can repeat the process themselves.

I also have 29 years experience teaching undergraduate mathematics part time, mostly for the University of Maryland European Division and Embry Riddle Aeronautical University.
