I have BS and MS degrees metallurgical/materials engineering from the University of Pittsburgh, with 30-plus years experience in the metals industry. My industrial experience spans from primary ferrous and nonferrous metal production to aerospace manufacturing, working in various management capacities ranging from plant metallurgist/quality control to general/sales manager. Industrial background includes foundry/casting, specialty steel production, forging, commercial heat treating, and original equipment manufacturing.
I try to fully understand and assess the student’s needs to better resolve issues surrounding the subject matter. I can and have taught physics, math, (up to differential equations) and physical sciences. I have also been an ameteur astronomer for 40 years and can teach courses in this dicipline.
