Highly Qualified Intervention Specialist

I have been an intervention specialist for Hilliard City Schools for the last 4 years. I have worked with students both in the inclusion and small group setting towards their individualized education goals. I have worked with students who have been diagnosed with disorders/disabilities that may impede their ability to learning in the traditional learning environment without support. My comments on tutoring ADD/ADHD : I have worked with children with ADD/ADHD for many years as well as provide services as an independent provider. I currently work with a majority of students who are ADD/ADHD at the school in which I teach at this time.

I have been working with the school system for several years. I am currently teaching a fourth/fifth grade split. I am very experienced in working with children who are at risk, special needs, and add/adhd. I have a proven track record of student growth in core subjects of 1 year 3 months. I enjoy tutoring and teaching and I work a great deal with parents in order to keep the educational goals on the same page for their child. I have experience in both the world of sociology and psychology. I am able to adapt to behavioral issues that plague some children.
