History geek, Arabic student.

I graduated with honors with degrees in history and economics from the University of Texas at Austin. I am an obsessive student of history, specializing in the history of the British Empire in the 19th century, with a 70 page thesis on the subject that I am in the process of getting published. As of June 2013 I will have just returned from a full year in Egypt studying Arabic after four years of studying Arabic in Austin, including a summer in Morocco, as part of a Defense Department program for critical language study. I will have achieved advanced proficiency by U.S. government standards, and will be able to teach both Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian Colloquial Arabic. My comments on tutoring Political Science : I know politics.

Tutor in the Austin Area for 10 years. Vendor in 'Tutorial Services' for a State Agency for five years. Helped students from 16 to 46 get to where they need to be. Helped students to achieve their goals, and become more efficient with their time and their abilities. I have a knack of making the complicated simple.
