I take a look at what the existing instruction materials are attempting to convey and I add to that or expound on that. I use Google extensively to look for similar examples to the problems the student might be having. I believe that it is best to solve any given problem in at least two different ways if you really want to get some insight. A Little Bit About Me...

During my undergrad studies, I began tutoring with children (usually 1-2 at a time) from pre-school age with phonics and sight reading until the present time with reading, writing, math, science and history. I have also worked in a private girls school as an After School Study Hall teacher for Grades 5-8 and presently I am a Substitute teacher for Grades K-6 in a self-contained classroom.
