I found working with young minds in different Early Childhood agencies is one reason for earning my Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education. I then wanted to expand my enjoyment and empower others by obtaining my BSW. I have wanted to be a Social Work ever since high school. Even though, in the last few years I have not worked with the young population, I still enjoy all the things they can teach me.
I try to understand the level of where the children are and build on that. I am patient, considerate, consistant, non-judgmental and feel it is not too early to start teaching or a child to learn. There is so much children can learn and we, as adults, can learn from them.

I am a graduate of Western Illinois University, and I am excited to be starting my teaching career. I have earned a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and have received my teaching certificate for Elementary (K-9). I have been teaching in a pre-school for the past three summers while I was finishing my schooling. I have had the opportunity to work in many schools while finishing my degree. One program that I really enjoyed volunteering my time in was America Reads. I was able to tutor students in reading and help them to become better readers through this program.
