High school student looking to be your affordable tutor.

Hi there! My name is Veda. I am a current high school student with a passion for education. I hope to start my journey by providing affordable tutoring, and eventually becoming an educator. I have completed elementary and middle school levels of Math, Science, English, and Social Studies. Leading into high school, I took Algebra 1, Geometry, Earth Science, and Spanish 1. As a freshman, I completed Algebra 2, Biology, English 1, and World Geography. I took Revolutions, Art History, Choir, Spanish 2, Oral Interpretation 1, Health, and Integrated Physics as electives and/ or separate courses. As a current sophomore, I am taking PreCalculus, Chemistry, English 2, and World History. As electives, I am taking Spanish 3, Oral Interpretation 2, and Choir.

A Little Bit About Me...

My goal when working with students is to fully describe the steps necessary to solving various classes of problems, often in an outline form, for it is in learning these steps that a student becomes an independent learner. I like to work through as many examples as the student needs, gradually working them into the problem-solving process, until they are able to work a few completely on their own, or, in some way, demonstrate understanding of the material. Of course, this method is a little easier to employ in one on one tutoring sessions, but even with my work in the classroom, I feel student participation is crucial to the learning environment.
