I enjoy adapting my personal teaching style to each individual specifically. I would say that it is a little more toward laid back. Being over 6" tall, stocky, pushing hard, being an ogre, hard-nosed, that isn't going to work for me. People have a tendency to be a bit intimidated and fearful because of my size. I will use it to my advantage if it is necessary, or becomes necessary, but I've found being a little more quiet, reserved and coaxing the student to initiate the discussion is a little better. Ask leading questions, adjust and proceed, based on their response.
I have received degrees in Int'l Business from Lourdes College, as well an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. While with the Ohio Air National Guard, participated in the Mentoring program with Township Elementary, Swanton Local Schools for five(5)-years. I have experience in every level of student. My first degree (A.S.) was in Engineering and I worked at higher level math, including a college Teacher's Assistant in Calculus. I went on to obtain a B.S. in Education. I took the coursework for Middle and High School endorsements in 4 other subject areas. I work in Remedial Education at a local university currently.

I have taught as a TA at Wright State University 2 years in interpersonal and business communications, I taught 1 year at Wright State University Branch Campus interpersonal communications, business communications, communications in the classroom, and mass media. I taught 3 years of English for Ft. Wayne Community Schools to high school students in the Youth Life Skills program. I have had nearly 2,000 hours of anatomy course work as well as I've taken biology, chemistery, and pharmacology at Indiana-Purdue University of Ft Wayne.
