A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy adapting my personal teaching style to each individual specifically. I believe each child learns differently and I am very persistent in finding the right learning method for each child to make sure they fully comprehend the material. I am very patient, kind, and also a good listener. I believe these qualities are important in relating with the student to achieve a high level of learning. My perferred teaching style is hands on and engaging. I also believe repetition with discovery is important to help the children to develope confidence in themselves! A Little Bit About Me...

I would say that it is a little more toward laid back. Being over 6" tall, stocky, pushing hard, being an ogre, hard-nosed, that isn't going to work for me. People have a tendency to be a bit intimidated and fearful because of my size. I will use it to my advantage if it is necessary, or becomes necessary, but I've found being a little more quiet, reserved and coaxing the student to initiate the discussion is a little better. Ask leading questions, adjust and proceed, based on their response.
I have received degrees in Int'l Business from Lourdes College, as well an Associates Degree in Accounting from Owens Community College. While with the Ohio Air National Guard, participated in the Mentoring program with Township Elementary, Swanton Local Schools for five(5)-years.
