As a young adult I always had a passion for teaching. I began tutoring at a young age and then after high school began working towards my teaching certificate in English. While in college I worked as a private tutor and also volunteered as a tutor at a local middle school. I currently teach high school English and also advise our school's newspaper and yearbook.

I believe that all children can learn, and when a child has difficulty grasping a concept, the teacher must change their technique. I have used a variety of methods when working with children. Manipulatives, flash cards ,games and stimulus equivalence training are just a few. I also believe that a child that needs extra help with a subject should not feel like they are being punished. A teaching session should not just help a person learn a concept, but help develop a passing for knowledge and learning.
In 2005 I obtained a degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish and in 2009 obtained a masters degree in Applied Behavior Analysis. I have a variety of teaching styles that I use to help students of all abilities achieve. I am skilled in SEI/ELL strategies to help students of other languages. I currently work at a small manufacturing company where I purchase raw materials, formulate products, supervise the manufacturing process and check the quality of the end product.
