I a sophomore honors student at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. I am from Shawnee, OK. I am majoring in Oxbridge Music (I have played piano for over 12 years and cello for close to 5 years). I love English--creative writing (fiction, creative nonfiction, personal essay, poetry, etc.) in particular, but I am also experienced in the mechanics of analytical, literary, and compositional writing. I have taken five years of Spanish and am at an intermediate-early advanced level.

I believe teaching is about learning instead of the outcome. I practice "learning by doing" where they create their own style and way of accomplishing the task based on age appropriate methods and ways that work for them. It is not about the final product, but rather how they get to the proposed finish. Kids will go as far as you push them and typically exceed ones expectations.
I began as an education major at the University of Central Oklahoma before switching to Oklahoma Baptist University. I have worked with children in a professional setting since 2004 in church, non profit, daycare, early childhood, and preschool settings. I value education and find it to be a crucial and vital part of child development.
