Involving all the senses in a Montessori-style approach reaches more parts of the brain, and increases the desire to learn more. I earned my Engineering Degree in 1998 and have worked my entire career in that field. I always enjoy my days in the school and teaching. I feel that I am good at teaching. It is what I spent my first 2 years of college studying before switching to engineering. I make sure the kids feel safe in their environment, so learning becomes the primary focus. I try to make learning fun and try to show the students that it isn't really that difficult.
I have enough math credits to be a high school math teacher, although I am not an accredited teacher. I am a consulting engineer, but have always enjoyed teaching. I have been substitute teaching for mostly high school math the last 3 years. I have been in the engineering field since 1989.

I recently retired from teaching but have a love of math and working with students. Presently that makes accessible to tutor students any time day or night. A Little Bit About Me...

I recently graduated college with a BA in Human Biology, and I am currently in the transition between undergraduate school and medical school. Throughout my years as an undergrad, I have been heavily involved with teaching/tutoring students - primarily through my participation in the Peer-Led Chemistry Teacher program. As a peer teacher, I developed many skills and abilities which have allowed me to become an effective teacher.
