My comments on tutoring Inorganic Chemistry : analytical inorganic chemistry and instrumental analysis

Although my carreer has been based mostly on analytical environmental research( more then 2 dozens publications in scientific journals), supervision, and laboratory management, a major part of my activities have included some form of teaching. For several years I mentored graduate students at the School of Public Health associated with the State University of New York and the Department of Health and taught principles and applications of analytical environmental chemistry. College educated years of experience with "At Risk" students

Besides my degree in BioChemistry I have also completed minors in cellular/molecular biology, and art. While studying at Albion college I worked on two separate college funded research teams as well as worked as a TA with large groups of students as well as small groups. After graduation I worked at a public high school in Flint, Michigan as an at risk interventionalist. This involved working specifically in science classrooms with at risk students as well as working in my own classroom either one on one or in small groups.
I believe that every student I have ever worked with has been more than capable of understanding and excelling at whatever material we are working on. The problem I often see is either a lack of focus or loss of determination/ confidence due to not agreeing or benefiting from their teachers teaching style.
