I a sophomore honors student at William Jewell College in Liberty, MO. I am from Shawnee, OK. I am majoring in Oxbridge Music (I have played piano for over 12 years and cello for close to 5 years). I love English--creative writing (fiction, creative nonfiction, personal essay, poetry, etc.) in particular, but I am also experienced in the mechanics of analytical, literary, and compositional writing. A Little Bit About Me...

Due to my changing Majors as a junior, I received a Bachelors Degree with a double major, Biology and Education. My Minor was in English. I was pleasantly surprised when my Certificate in Oklahoma qualified me to teach seventeen fields. I have had the privilege of teaching nearly every discipline at the grade levels of seventh thru twelfth. In addition the District selected me to train to work with at risk students. One of my many assignments was in school suspension that required tutoring those students in the completion of their studies.

I love to learn and everyone learns differently. I believe that if the information is not being understood one way, then we need to find another way to instruct. Hands-on learning and learning through experience always leaves a lasting impression. Just memorizing facts, although in some cases that is necessary, it is just not fun for all students and just may not stick unless learned in a fun way. I want to make learning fun because no one should ever stop learning. There is just too much out there to sit back and let life pass you by.
