I have been in Education for 19 years, but have been a teacher much longer than that! I have been involved in teaching somehow since I was a young girl, working as a Sunday School teacher or as a teacher for Vacation Bible School, as a camp counselor for the YMCA Daycare program and as a tutor while in college. I use the Wilson Reading Program to teach students to read. The Wilson Reading program is a systematic, multi-sensory program that is a twelve step program. The program is a proven scientifically researched based program with measurable results.
I am an Intervention Specialist that teaches high school juniors and seniors with reading and writing. I have also acquired a Reading Endorsement that qualifies me as a reading specialist for grades k-12. Recently, I have furthered my reading intervention knowledge by mastering the level one certification with the Wilson Reading Systems. I enjoy incorporating games and allowing students' interests to be a part of learning so that they are more engaged. I am very confident in teaching phonics/reading skills in a variety of ways.
I have been teaching professionally since 2011, and have worked in various other childcare/education positions before that. A Little Bit About Me...

I have the TOEFL certification which allows me to be an English teacher in Spain and an Spanish teaher in the United States I've been an English teacher at Trueba School for a group of children aged 3-10 for a semester I am from Spain so Spanish is my primary language and I am completely fluent on it, either written or spoken. I teached two students from Morocco, aged 20, spanish for a year.
I like to have a nice relationship with the students, spend time with them and base my teaching on a variety of activities, such as Homework, reading and writting but also games, theater and movies.
