I have worked as a music teacher for 10 years, and I spent one year working as a Title I paraprofessional. As a music teacher, my focus is on music literacy and appreciation. I strongly believe that every child has the right to a quality music education. As a Title I para, I worked with individual and small groups of K-6 students in the areas of reading, writing, and math.
A wonderful characteristic of music is that learning and experiencing music addresses all three main learning styles--visual, aural, and kinesthetic. Students enjoy my class, and it is wonderful to see what they remember long after they have been in my class. A Little Bit About Me...

Despite my lack of certification, I have always enjoyed working with children. I truly believe that a childs learning output is a reflection of the teachers in his/her life, whether parents, school teachers, or family. I am patient and having such a diverse background in the math and sciences makes it easy to teach through different approaches to convey information to students.
