After graduation I applied and got a teaching job and I taught at Skyview Middle School in District 49 for 4 years teaching Ancient Civilizations. Before that I was a substitute in District 8, 2, 3, 60, 48 all southern Colorado school districts.
I am a holistic teacher who likes for students to experience the subject. For example I would have student immerse themselves into the subject of history and complete a project and present it to the other students. It was really successful and had students waiting all year.

With so many years of experience, I have watched educational trends come and go and come back again! My own style is simple and has served me well with all levels: discover the student's passion and build on it through reading, writing, research, and talking to him/her. I have never worked with a student who doesn't want to learn. Resistance is usually fear of failure. I love the challenge of figuring out how each student learns.
