In my experience as a musician, I have found that teaching a subject I love can really inspire students to excel. It's necessary to spread our knowledge to others. I have also taught a prefirst program for students not quite ready for first grade and a multi-grade class for students in 1-2 grades. In 2009-2010, I was involved in tutoring 3rd and 4th graders in the area of Reading and writing who were not quite at grade level.
