As a computer science teaching assistant I was often presenting students with their first experience in a new field, as a result, I have adapted a teaching style which draws upon my background in the sciences to offer real life examples and helpful tidbits to further a students understanding. I am patient and equipped to adapt to student's differing needs. I enjoy working with students of all ages and truly wish to help students learn and enjoy their educations. After earning a bachelor degree in Mathematics/Statistics I entered graduate school with the intention of going into the Computer Science field. I teach by example, leading the student through a problem by asking questions about each step so that they can learn how to approach the problem themselves. I watch and evaluate the students as they work and provide guidence when thy make errors. I enjoy interacting with children of all ages and I do so in a kind and curteous manner.
