The professors who most impressed me were extremely challenging. One exceptional professor jumps out at me. Her passion for teaching was inarguable and her skill was remarkable. She was witty and smart. I remember sitting on the edge of my seat, clenched tight, simultaneously intrigued and terrified. She could tell stories that left us in stitches or scare us into studying for the entire weekend. I have come across few professors with so much excitement for teaching. My goal in studying linguistics is to become a professional ESL teacher. I am very much interested in language development at all levels, but especially in nonnative language development.
