I have many years of classroom experience ranging from Second Grade up to Fifth Grade. I am a certified teacher and recently have completed training specializing in reading and phonics. Laying a solid foundation in phonemic awareness is essential in allowing a student to be a successful reader and writer. It effects fluency and comprehension. I want you to be successful in learning!

My teaching style is mainly dependant on the person that I am tutoring. If a student needs to take a slower process to learn than I am adaptable to that. The same is true for someone who has a little faster pace. I am flexible.
I have experience with teaching adults how to read at my local literacy organization. Also, I have tutored children with Reading and Math. I was a substitute teacher for students from Pre Kindergarten through High School with different subjects and disciplines. My comments on tutoring Elementary Vocabulary : Elementary Education experience, 2nd - 6th grade

I have 14 years experience of teaching high school Spanish, as well as a background in Elementary Education. I have taught Spanish IB and AP classes, as well as written curriculum in both SC and TN. I have 4 years of experience tutoring college Spanish at The Citadel and can help with high level literature as well.
I believe that you meet students where they are. I strive to individualize each lesson to what the student or group needs, not just a grammar lesson that’s on the next page. I have always focused on teaching practical communication skills in Spanish, including useful vocabulary and phrases. I love using digital resources such as online news, music and more!
