My comments on tutoring Italian : Italian and German are my native languages. I have taught Italian for many years from the beginner to the advanced level. It is my goal to function as a catalyst for the most disparate students in honing their grammar, reading, speaking, listening, and reading skills. Along with pure training in language acquisition, I offer Intercultural Training designed to help professionals in their respective business settings to better interact with their counterparts and become more efficient communicators according to their interlocutor's culture and background.
Depending on the needs and skills of the students, I will adjust my teaching style. Hence, it can range from being very structured to the loose conversational interaction where I intersperse grammar as needed throughout the instruction. Also, I apply visual and oral methodology with highly interactive elements in all of my lessons, so that the students get exposed to as much real-life situations as possible in grappling with the language. The target language takes center stage from almost the very beginning. During the first few sessions, if students begin from scratch, it will be unavoidable to use English. Eventually, however, the goal will be to get students to communicate without the aid of English.
