I have worked for the past 13 years in accounting and management positions. I started in the Master of Education in the Teaching Arts at Mississippi College this past January and recieved by Class A Teacher's License in June of this year. I am certified to teach grades 4-8 in all four of the major subjects: math, science, social studies and language. I am also certified to teach grades 7-12 in the social studies area: US History, government, geography, and world history. I am also highly qualified to teach accounting and business because of the number of accounting and business classes that I have taken.

I believe the first step in academic success is building self esteem and confidence. Learning should be engaging and fun. My students come to enjoy learning and gaining confidence as they grow and become better readers. I have taught first through third grades for many years. Most of my experience is with elementary students. I now work with principals and teachers across the state to improve classroom instruction. I have also worked specifically with third graders to prepare them for the State Test. Each summer I am involved with the Read to Succeed camp where I work with students who have not passed the third grade end of the year test.
