Elementary Special Education Teacher

I have been teaching students with many different special needs for the past 19 years. My experience ranges from students with severe developmental delays to students with emotional disabilities. My experience has mostly been with students who have learning disabilities. I also have son that has an IEP for learning disabilities and is thriving now in school. My comments on tutoring Elementary Phonics : I enjoy working with students and find that making it fun helps them to learn better, and remember what they have learned.

In caring and teaching health to young people I have acquired the ability to help them learn as well as aiding in their near-point vision, which is a big factor in reading. I have found that many young people today do not have good near- point vision due to exposure to television in their pre-school years, beside perhaps lack of being read to at this time.
