Physics - Clearing Up A Murky Subject

I'm young professional working in the Blacksburg area as a mechanical engineer at an aerospace company. I graduated in '11 with a major in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Business. I worked as an online (distance) physics tutor for several years, and enjoyed it very much. I enjoy tutoring in basic math and sciences, but my favorite subject to tutor is physics. I'm proficient at both college and high-school level physics.
I'm generally a fun, happy person, not the classic awkward engineer. :) I'd love to turn a student's "trouble subject" into a point of personal accomplishment, through tutoring that he/she will actually enjoy. I was a math tutor at Northern Virginia Community College in Sterling, VA from 08/03 to 07/07. I have also taught adult swim lessons and group swim lessons for children at the Ashburn Sports Pavilion in Ashburn VA.
I enjoy teaching. I believe all children have the ability to succeed in the subject of math. The key to teaching children math is to find out what motivates your students. Then I try to find away to incorporate their interest into the lesson so they relate with the subject at hand. I also try to observe my students to see what the best way to teach them weather it is hands on or just a simple explanation of the material.
