I have been tutoring in various math, elementary, and Spanish areas for 13 years. I have tutored students from elementary school age to adults. I have also tutored students all over the US and in other coutries. I have listed all the areas that I am comfortable tutoring. I am willing to teach in a library, in the student's home, on-line, or in another area that is agreed upon by both myself and the parent. I am open to group sessions, this would require me booking a meeting room in a library, or another location. My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : Previously taught reading in a second grade and fourth grade classroom although I am certified second through sixth grade. Worked in a district with an excellent reading curriculum on fluency and comprehension.

I am a very open minded individual and I really try not to tailor my teaching style to a group, rather I try to find methods and strategies that work individually for each specific student. I include a variety of audio, kinesthetic, and visual means of teaching. I love incorporating technology in everything that I do with teaching! My comments on tutoring Elementary Reading : I worked as a teacher in a private school for children with dyslexia. My position was as a Language Fundamentals Teacher and I was trained using the Orton-Gillingham approach to teaching. This is a multi-sensory approach and very highly regarded as a successful approach for children with dyslexia and reading disabilities.
