My job is not to give students answers, but to push them to articulate better and give better answers. I teach not by lecturing but by discussion; together we work through problems and questions. By showing students (gently) where their thinking could be improved without giving them the actual answers, I push students to solve problems on their own. A Little Bit About Me...

I tutor based on the individual's learning needs. I have encountered some that were visual learners ad everything had to be drawn/written out. I have also tutored students that can have me explain it and they grasp it easily. My teaching style changes according to the needs of the student because not every one learns the same. I do believe Accounting is a complex field and the student has to have an interest in the field to truly be successful in retaining what they are taught.
While earning my Masters in Accounting, I voluntarily tutored Undergrad students that were earning their Associates or Bachelors in Accounting.
