A Little Bit About Me...

During my high school career I was frequently called upon to be a teacher's assistant. This was over fourth, fifth, and sixth graders the majority of the time. I was a tutor in high school for many elementary and middle school aged children. I am also experienced with writing papers, so I can help anyone who is writing for a college application or essay. I am a very quick learner, so if there is a subject I am not as familiar with I am willing to study it to help a student. My teaching style I would describe two-fold: First, my military background taught me their three step process; tell them what you are going to tell them, tell them, and then tell them what you told them and my own personal style which is a hybrid of the discovery method and guided question and answer. I have always been a firm believer in that there are no dumb or silly questions. If a child or an adult has a question, there is a reason for that question and it deserves the best answer possible.
