My comments on tutoring Elementary : I was an Elementary school teacher for 15 or more years, and taught and tutored in all the subjects. The subjects included Reading, Grammar, Writing, Spelling Reading Comprehension, Testing Skills, Organization skills and any other skill you can think of.

I am Special Education Certified, and know how to work with students with different disabilities. This includes ADHD/ADD problems, Dyslexia, Reading comprehension, Autism, and many others. My daughter is Autistic, has a learning disability, and is Bi-Polar, so I have personal experience with people with disabilities. At present I am tutoring a College Student who is Autistic. I have the patience and understanding plus skills to tutor anyone.
I am a seasoned veteran in Education. I taught for 28 years, and was a school counselor for 7 years. For the past 2 1/2 years I have been a substitute teacher, tutor for 5th graders, and part-time counselor for PreK - 5th grade at different Elementary schools in Corpus Christi, TX. I also taught Study Skills, Test Preparation Skills, and Organizational Skills to my students.

Upon graduting from college, I became an after-school tutor, grades 4-6, focusing on all levels of homework and emphasis on students who had particular needs. I entered the teaching field in 2005 as a high school English teacher in grades 9 and 12. I learned extensive outlets and skills in regards to test preparation, research, grammar, and real-world applications. My second and third year teaching was in an academy setting focusing on law. While in New York State, I was employed through the Alternative Suspension Program as an LVN. While there,I assisted with the teaching of students. This in turn gave me the opportunity to obtain my certification in Teaching. I remained in this position for two years. During this time, I had my own case load of 5-8 students grade 7-12. Following this position, I was employed at a tutor for those youth who were home bound.
I attended college later in life. Recently, the opportunity arose to better myself. I chose Early Childhood Education and then continued on to obtain my Bachelor's Degree. Following this, I returned to school for Nursing. Eventually, we moved to Texas where I applied,tested and obtained my LCCA License.
