I have been tutoring for about 5 years ranging in ages from elementary school to adults who are trying to further their education. I try my hardest to break things down to the simpliest form to better help students understand. My comments on tutoring Elementary Vocabulary : I hold a Master's degree in Special Education and am experienced as a K-5 special education teacher in all areas of language arts and math. I work with students with other health impairments, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and specific learning disabilities including dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia. I use a multisensory approach to learning and strive to make new vocabulary meaningful. I started a vocabulary parade in my school to raise awareness of the need for explicit vocabulary instruction.

I have been teaching elementary special education since 2014. I have a passion for my chosen career and a life-long love of all things literacy. I have taught students from K-5th grade in reading, writing, math, executive functioning skills, study skills, and social skills. I have worked with students with varying levels of ability. I am experienced in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder; other health impairments such as ADHD, anxiety, executive functioning disorders, and OCD; and specific learning disabilities such as processing disorders, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia.
