I am young, enthusiastic, and patient! I have tutored a variety of subjects with numerous volunteer programs throughout high school and college. I recently gradutated from Spring Hill College with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and political science. Thanks to my liberal arts education, I also have a good writing foundation. Spelling is one of my top subjects! Great spelling skills are crucial in writing. Spelling skills can only get better by constant practice.

I taught English for a few years and really enjoyed teaching the students about the world of writing. I specialized in the four types of writing: Narrative, Descriptive, Expository, and Persuasive. I also strongly believe in developing strong grammar skills because they comprise well written wrting pieces. Once a student feels confident in his/her writing and speaking skills, the sky becomes the limit.

I believe learning should be fun and creative and that children should have an environment that is friendly and caring to learn in. A Little Bit About Me...

My degree in Psychology has a strong basis in Behavior Analysis. This is what I will be getting my Master’s degree in starting in the Fall. My teaching style mainly focuses on positive reinforcement. I use positive reinforcement in order to increase a behavior of choice. The behaviors we want to increase can range from working more math problems, reading more, increase doing home work, increase studying, etc. An instructional method will be used as well in order increase their knowledge of the subject and then positive reinforcement will increase their confidence and motivation which is necessary for success.

I have studied Spanish for over ten years and German for over five years. I have a BA from UCF in foreign language combination. I was a teacher's assistant for a second grade class in 1990 at Winegard Elementary School. I was a hearing-impaired interpreter at a YMCA youth camp for one week in 1990 at Tallahassee. For my last employer, I interpreted Spanish, German, and sign language for cast members and guests on a daily basis for almost 16 years. Additionally, I have tutored math, reading, and spelling for my nieces and nephews at the elementary level.
