My comments on tutoring English : I've been a writer for 40 years.

I am patient and supportive, but persistent. Each student's mind works differently, and I work tirelessly to find the best way to present material to every child or adult. English is one of my top subjects! Graduated Fitchburg State University with Bachelor’s of Science in English.

I believe in identifying where a student lies on the subject he/she is studying before going further. The advantage of one on one tutoring compared to classroom is that the lesson can be based around where the student’s strengths and weaknesses are rather than a blanket method. I also believe that the skills used in English can be best practiced and analyzed through writing rather than worksheets and tests.
