ASVAB is one of my top subjects! I was hired by the U.S> Army as an ASVAB tutor but the funding was eliminated. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is very simple and I believe it is effective. I have found that going through problems does not always help kids learn. I always try to tutor the basics and establish a plan for problem solving. The children need to know how to attach a problem not how to plug numbers into equations.
While attending the University of Massachusetts at Lowell I work to help other students that were having difficulty understanding the material presented. I obtained a bachelor of science in Civil Engineering, with a concentration in Structural Analysis. The course work gave me a very strong understanding of Mathematics, and Physics. Also, the quantity of lab reports I have written has given me an advantage in writing non-technical reports along with technical reports. I have worked as a college math privately and through other companies.

Lived in Budapest, Hungary for a year and a half. Was a student teacher and tutor in college. Taught a variety of courses in the US Army Reserves. Have traveled extensively in Western, Central and Eastern Europe. Great people skills (prepared over 200 tax returns this past tax season).
It depends on the wants and needs of the student. One size does not fit all. It is important to understand the goals of the individual along with the desired outcome and timeframe. Finding the best approach that works for the individual or group results in better outcomes.

I started private tutoring in 1980. I also was a home tutor for the Milton Public Schools. From 1985-1991 I was an instructional aide in a special needs class. From September 1991 to the present I have been a math instructional aide for learning disabled students at Milton High School.
