I have been studying education since my high school graduation in hopes of one day being the choir director at my high school.At the moment I am a student at UTEP studying bilingual elementary education and plan to receive a masters in music education after receiving my bachelors degree. I am currently a subsitute teacher and am hoping to continue helping students with their studies in the summer and weekends. In my schooland work experience I have worked with children of all grade levels and all subjects. I am firm but like to use students life experiences and hobbies to teach them subjects. Younger students I like to teach through play due to the fact that I am a firm believer that children learn through play.

As a 2009 graduate of the University of Texas at El Paso, holding a Bachelor of Arts, with a minor in English and American Literature, and with the teaching experience that I have gained in various fields since 2004, I feel that I am well-suited for this job. I have taught Reading ESL at the Transmountain EPCC Campus, as well as French at L’Alliance Francaise d’El Paso, and Spanish/ESL/French at La Paz Language Academy. I will also be teaching a Spanish beginners’ course at the History Museum of El Paso, giving evening classes to staff and community members, once a week, during the Fall semester of 2012.
