Physics - Clearing Up A Murky Subject

I'm generally a fun, happy person, not the classic awkward engineer. :) I'd love to turn a student's "trouble subject" into a point of personal accomplishment, through tutoring that he/she will actually enjoy. I think tutoring comes easily to me because my mind sees multiple ways to understand each problem, which allows me to alter my explanation based on the student's personal understanding. Each of us learns and thinks quite differently, so I enjoy being able to present the material in a way that catches the interest of the student. A Little Bit About Me...

I really enjoy working with young teens. I have worked in high schools for 25 years in Virginia and West Virginia. I have always had good rapport with teens and have enjoyed interacting with them. I have been trained in the Constructivist approach to teaching, but have had to change my style of teaching in order to cover materials necessary for SOL testing in recent years.
