Special Education is one of my top subjects! I worked as a social worker and coached children in the school and home setting.

My teaching style incorporates all learning styles, because I am a firm believer that we all learn differently. I am a very patient and passionate teacher. Being excited about the subject is key to being a successful teacher. However, I expect my students to be motivated and to give 100 percent effort to their studies.
I studied Elementary Education during my undergraduate. During this time, I was a student teacher on several different occasions. A Little Bit About Me...

After learning various teaching and learning styles at Indiana State University, I feel it is important to find each child’s unique learning style. After this is accomplished, I then apply the teaching styles that the student will learn best from. I enjoy using visuals and hands-on activities when working with a student. A Little Bit About Me...

I am a 2006 Taylor University graduate in Youth Ministry and Christian Education. I have worked in the classroom and churches for 8 years both full time and part time. All of these positions have helps me with my communication skills, both written and verbal. I have taught students in English, math, reading, creative art, music and science.

I earned a bachelors degree in Elementary Education with special attention to reading from Purdue University. In Aug. 2008-May 2009 I taught kindergarten at West Grove Elementary in Center Grove Community School Corporation. During this time I filled in for two teachers on extended leaves. This experience allowed me to gain knowledge about teaching and how to instruct diverse students. I learned many different teaching strategies, including differentiation and integration with multiple subjects. I learned many ways to help students with phonics, reading, writing and math skills at the kindergarten level.
