A Little Bit About Me...

I have just graduated high school, and have just finished thirteen years of learning. I have ADD, and have had a semester's worth of interning at the Specialized Language Development Center, working with kids who struggle with reading, writing, and comprehension. Kids brought to the center are usually dyslexic, ADD/ADHD, or have some type of learning disability, however, those without disabilities come for help too, ranging from kindergarden all the way to college level students.

Every child learns differently and I believe that discovering what works best for each student is the first step towards success. Once we figure out what his/her learning style is, I cater to this. My comments on tutoring ACT : I scored a 26 on my ACT, several years ago.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. I originally majored in English, as that is where most of my talent lies. I wrote several articles for my high school newspaper, have published poetry pieces, and edit reports and resumes regularly for a number of people.
I adapt my teaching style to the student. Every person learns differently; I generally try to find an entertaining way of teaching the material.
