After graduating from the University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire, my wife and I moved to South Korea and taught English. This opportunity allowed us to gain teaching experience and become absorbed in another culture. While working as a assistant professor at a number of institutions (including the University of Chicago, University of Texas ,San Antonio and several others) I found I almost always had to teach my students how to take notes, how to read to locate crucial information and how best to structure written assignments. I have also had a lengthy career as a print journalist and have developed my communication skills to a fairly high level. I am hands on. I am very parient and to not get frustrated easily. I do not have an age preference becuase I enjoy working with all age groups.
