A Little Bit About Me...

I have taught both adults and youth. I was instrumental in assisting adults in obtaining their high school diploma and college degree. As a youth teacher, I was responsible for teaching students to read and as a result of their improving in this area; I was promoted to a teacher’s position. I have tutored students on an individual basis, and a result they were able to be promoted to the next grade.
My style of teaching is more of a participant style. I enjoy when students contribute to class discussions. It brings joy to my heart when a child finds a task complicated and eventually succeeds. While attending USM I taught a combined class Of 3rd And 4th grades. for the past 16 years I have tutor Reading, Math, History, and basic science to children in my family and community. I also substitute teach for 3 school districts.

I graduated from the University of Southern Mississippi where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Deaf Education. I loved working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, but it was extremely hard finding a job doing that in my area. Due to that fact, I started tutoring as many kids from the local schools as much as possible and I loved doing it. That also motivated me to work on adding endorsements to my teaching license so that I can teach regular education as well.
