I am a highly motivated and organized teacher with a passion for teaching students of all ages. I recently worked as a long term music substitute at Hamburg Area High school in Hamburg, Pa. There I taught beginner guitar, chorus, piano and coached the drama club. This past summer I taught remedial reading during the summer school session at Hamburg. I have tutoring experience in Reading, Math, and elementary science. As a college student, I worked as a tutor. I taught music theory, sight singing, elementary science, math, and reading. I like to incorporate a sense of humor in my teaching - I believe when children can relax they are much more open to learning. I am also sensitive to children's different learning styles whether they are visual, auditory or kinesthetic, and tailor my approach accordingly. No two sessions are ever the same! Each student has unique needs and challenges and my job is to work "through the maze" and carry the message to the brain.
