One of the reasons that I'm interested in tutoring is that, although I love working with individual students and small groups, I am less interested in classroom management, discipline and the rest of the duties that come along with substitute teaching. I also used positive Peer Culture for helping students to deal with their problems. I slso taught history at the school. I have 8 years experience; I worked for WSI teacher staffing for 3 yrs. and 5 yrs. for the Battle Creek School System in grades K-12 in most subjects
I create a positive atmosphere and help students to be responsible first to themselves and then to their community. I also try to make my students aware of their potiential and guide them in processing information by first understanding the context in which it is used. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had two years experience teaching religion at a university level. I was a teaching assistant and taught my own class. As a teaching assistant, I attended the classes, read the material, conducted study sessions, graded exams, quizzes and assignments, and helped students with material. The class I taught was Religions of the World. I developed the syllabus, created and presented the lectures, and created and graded the exams, quizzes and assignments.
I have found that students learn better when the environment is relaxed, they think critically and they write clearly. My teaching style encompasses and encourages all of these. I believe that teaching styles need to be flexible to the student. I have worked with a very wide variety of students, from the severely limited autistic youth to the highly gifted medical student. While approach and focus might vary for the individual or subject matter the essence remains the same.
