Don't risk your grade/money on mere paper qualifications

You will see many ads by former or current professors trying to make a buck on the side. They are terrible tutors - they spent their whole careers having students beg them for a better grade. I have spent my whole life learning how to explain the most complex concepts to absolutely anybody. You will also see many people touting a related professional position as qualification. Many of them got their positions through nepotism and cheating to get paper qualifications (Some are my former clients) and neither have a good understanding of the material nor do they explain things well. My comments on tutoring SAT - Math : Earned a 1490 on the SATs, with a 780 on the Math section. Have a general affinity for the basic math found on the SATs, and I can teach you or your child how to solve the problems and eliminate tricky answers.

I have earned a BS in Computer Science, with a very strong math minor. It would have been a double major, but third-year theoretical math stopped being fun (and computers were still fun). However, math up to and including first year calculus was both straightforward and mostly fun.
