A Little Bit About Me...

I received a B.S. Degree in Education with a teaching certificate in English-Communication, at the secondary level. I am also qualified to instruct younger children. My graduate work focused on elementary students.My experience with young children, was learning to identify reading disabilities, administering standardized reading tests, to assess the instructional and readiness levels of individual students. I have taught in a wide array of classroom settings and as a private tutor.
I strive to encourage open discussions, and small group activities so students can move around the room, but only as it relates to the task at hand. I enjoy watching their enthusiasm when I give a "fun" learning activity. I am pleasant, very patient and lively!

A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching experience is very diverse. During my appointments as a teaching assistant and tutor I have worked with students of every demographic, learning style, and education level. I am very effective at teaching complex subjects and making them easier to grasp for all students. My goal is to take subjects which most students find intimidating and making them fun and rewarding.
I have been involved in teaching chemistry and mathematics throughout my entire time as a graduate student and the last portion of my undergraduate studies.
