I have over 12 years work experience in several areas. I have been teaching health science on a college level for 3 years. In the health science setting a teach a variety of areas such as medical terminology, biology, introduction to health careers, introduction to health occupations, and college introduction. I train pharmacy technicians as well as educate them on a variety of areas such as calculations, basic communication skills, basic reading skills, and grammar. I have experience with tutoring students of all ages and many areas. Having graduated from the University of South Carolina with a BS in Biology and a minor in Chemistry I have always been passionate about the sciences and getting others excited about them as well. My main goal is not to tell a student they are wrong, but to tell them how they can make the answer correct. Being that my mother is a teacher, I have picked up many of her techniques while tutoring in the peer tutoring program at my college. I believe that it helps a student more if they can be taught by someone who has a similar background to them and are similar in age. I can provide them with an easy way to learn biological concepts just as I've learned while I am in college.
