My style is age-appropriate: I modify my approach to accommodate age, learning level, personality and a combination of abilities and interests. My philosophy is that it is the instructor that should make adjustments on behalf of the student, not the other was around. Any good teacher can accommodate any student with the ability to understand people.
Experience includes teaching in public and private schools prior to and following tutor certification. Research for Tutor Certification focused on the study and analysis of adult learning problems stemming from poor learning and education experienced of youth. A Little Bit About Me...

After finishing my undergraduate work, I served in the Peace Corps for over two years. During this time I worked with various groups in the areas of elementary education tutoring, ESL for children and adults, and small-business training. When I finished the Peace Corps I was awarded a scholarship/fellowship to Duquesne University, where I completed my Master's degree. During this time I worked half-time with a nonprofit. At the end of my fellowship this nonprofit offered me a teaching job in conjunction with West Virginia University. I recently returned from a service-learning (study abroad) trip that I led in Mexico. I have tutored children, and taught university students and adults for over 3 years.

Teaching and working with children I believe is a passion one must have it can't be acquired. All children can learn and can find a joy in the learning process if they are guided well. As a graduate of Texas Southern University, where excellence is our motto, I was driven to acheive excellence in biology.
