After graduating from UCI, I studied abroad in Spain. Beginning with the intermediate level, I achieved the advanced level in 3 months. Later, in Peace Corps, I trained in Kyrgyz language, and reached the advance level in 10 weeks where I also learned successful methods of intensive training, and continue to apply it in my classrooms. I recently completed my two-year Peace Corps service in Kyrgyzstan teaching English and Spanish, using Russian and Kyrgyz. With this, I learned to understand and solved many of the setbacks and issues that students often have while learning languages, which enabled me to become a more effective teacher.
