A Little Bit About Me...

I started teaching while in college; I worked as a Teaching Assistant when school was in session (teaching college students) and as a camp counselor at a French immersion camp in the summers. This allowed me to work with students ages 8-22 and to develop different teaching styles for different ages. I am currently writing my PhD thesis; although the subject is Francophone, I'm writing in English and feel that I have strong writing skills and the ability to teach them. I've taught English to non-native speakers in France as an "English assistant" as well as in the US as an ESL tutor. I recently started tutoring in a local school and am working with students on a variety of subjects, from GED to English.

A Little Bit About Me...

Teaching is the greatest job I have ever had. I have never felt more rewarded than when teaching a child or adult something new or explaining a concept to them that is difficult. To see satisfaction on their faces is pure joy. From my previous tutoring and teaching experience I have learned to be patient but strong. I like to use creative methods to get children to think outside the box.
